A day off from the book tour and time for some old friends. First lunch with my old pals Jan and Gale up in Forest Hills Village. It’s amazing how we can still keep gossiping all these years later, but, geez, there was good stuff. Ajax High School was a gold mine of crazy stories. Here I am with Jan, seconds before she performed her world famous wheelie and backflip into the elevator.
Then onto the GO Train to visit with another old pal, Ross Campbell and his wife Sylvia. We were Radio DJs at a time when they hadn’t even invented cars. We came to the conclusion that every radio station manager we ever worked for was an idiot. Ross is now a motivational speaker and never once mentions the idiots we worked for. That would be counterproductive. Here’s my old buddy Ross and I.
So, it’s up at the crack of ice and off to Winnipeg Tomorrow ( whoops, it’s already today) Wednesday night, 7pm McNally Robinson 1120 Grant Avenue. It’ll be a real hoot!
